Belen: It’s cold. Its 40 degrees at noon. The ponds are frozen and cold! There was an inch of snow, but it’s melting. Yesterday it was snowing and snowing! I wonder if they make coats for chickens or coffee for dogs? Because I have a coat and hot tea each morning and they don’t. I don’t have to worry about the animals because God does. When I wrote this my mommy and I looked up these verses:
Matthew 6: 31-33 What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
Noah: It is cold down here. The snow here is fun to play in. I like to write in my book. I invent stories a lot and draw the pictures to go with them. I like to watch a show called Slug Terra and then I write new stories about it.
These are my favorite verses (in my mommy’s favorite Bible.)
1 Timothy 4:12 The Message (MSG) 11-14 Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed—keep that dusted off and in use.
