It is never easy to wait, especially if you are an impatient person! (I would not know anything about being impatient…I want it done and I want it done NOW!) However God asks us to “wait on Him” (Ps. 27:14; Ps. 37:7; Ps. 40:1; Is. 40:31 just to name a few) and it says He will renew us or respond to us or meet us when we do. It is a lesson I am still learning. I have been a Christian all my life. I am a pastors’ granddaughter and daughter and WIFE. I am a Pastor myself! Yet I am still learning to wait on Him.
This is especially relevant now as we WAIT for the Spanish government to finish our Visas so that we can get to Spain and begin our ministry. It seems we are in a limbo of sorts and yet we are finding joy and peace in the waiting. I covet your prayers as I wait, impatiently but trying to be humble and patient. God is not finished working on me yet and I am OK with that.
As we waited word that they would not process our visas this weekend we realized that having the kids with us, we could not just sit and mope. We realized that they needed to know it was OK to wait too! PTL we had a wonderful hotel (thanks Priceline!) with an awesome pool and a free aquarium to visit…it was a great weekend to wait together! How long will we have to wait? Not sure but what we are sure of is that He is in control! We know He is not surprised by it and is teaching us something through it all and well, we will wait on Him and trust Him to do what He does best, guide us!
