We had to make these for the ladies luncheon that I was invited to with my mom-in-law…they are SO GOOD!
What you need:
1 pound large strawberries (hallow out the tops, cut out the green and center)
8 oz block of cream cheese (softened)
3-4 tablespoons of powdered sugar (I use 4, I like them sweeter)
1 teaspoon of vanilla (can use lemon or almond, I prefer vanilla)
Graham cracker crumbs (favorite part for kid: put whole crackers in a baggie and seal well, give a rolling pin to the child and let them BEAT them to a pulp, ear plugs for mom a plus!) 🙂
I have a trick to it that any child loves to help with too. Mix everything in a baggie and knead it until smooth and then cut the tip off one end and pipe it into a hallowed out strawberry and let the kids dunk it into the graham cracker crumbs. Watch carefully though if you are keeping count for an event as they tend to disappear before they get to the serving tray! 🙂
