3051394356_4f342f3780A recent report came out this weekend stating that the unemployment rate in Spain among 25 year-olds and under is over 56% and over 25% of all unemployed people in ALL of Europe live in Spain. The saddest statistic in that report was that 1 in 5 children in Spain are living in poverty (families make less than $9000 a year).

  • Unemployment for 25 and under 56.1%
  • 25% of all unemployed youth live in Spain
  • 21.1% of children under 16 live in poverty (Less than $9600 USD per year) up from 19.4% in 2011

These new reports remind us that there are a lot of hurting people in Spain and among them are many millions of children. CFC has been reaching out to families in Granada for almost 20 years, and their ministry Asociacion Proyecto Familia seeks to provide relief and resources to these hurting people.

The greatest need in Spain right now is hope and encouragement. Please pray with us and for the APF and CFC that we can meet this needs and provide people with the hope of Christ!
